Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party

Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party

Trick-or-treating at Disneyland - what could be better? Disney's California Adventure is converted into a Halloween heaven for the annual event, providing a wholesome alternative to spookier holiday activities. Most of the park's rides stay open, so there is plenty for older kids to love about this, but the real treat here is how well suited the evening is for small children. Only a limited number of tickets are sold, meaning that the park does not get overcrowded; parents can let their Snow Whites dance the streets of mini-California without the usual theme park panic. Treat stations throughout the park dole out an endless supply of candy as well as healthy treats (upon request). The limited number of tickets also means you're not likely to wait more than ten minutes for any ride. Disney characters stroll and dance; a parade bursts through; all of the arcade games are free, and so much candy is handed to the little boys and ghouls that by the end of the evening many are actually saying 'no thank you' to another round!

Calling All Jedis

If your household is populated with little Yodas or if
Imperial Stormtroopers regularly use your back yard as
their battleground, October might prove to be a month
of great excitement as Star Wars: In Concert lands in
Southern California.

Narrated by C-3PO (actor Anthony Daniels) himself,
this multimedia spectacular features a symphonic
orchestra and choir performing selections from John
Williams’ Star Wars soundtrack along with movie
footage projected on a three-story, hi-def LED screen.
Created in association with Lucasfilm, the concert –
which premiered earlier this year in London – also
includes an exhibit stocked with Star Wars costumes,
props, artwork and behind-the-scenes videos. Fans will
undoubtedly want to come out in “force” for these
performances.
